Last weekend Full Tilt Poker’s Team Pro promotion wrapped with Team Viktor besting Team Gus 6 to 3 in their nine-duel match.

This meant all eight members of Team Viktor walked away at least $2,000 richer. A few took home an additional $1,000 for trouncing their Team Captain in a heads-up training match that, while a prelude to the Teams’ face-off, was for many the highlight of the promotion.

Following up on the interesting results of the Team Pro poll we asked combatants from both Team Gus and Team Viktor for their thoughts on the promotion.

Most said taking on their Team Captain in the one-on-one match for $1,000 was the most memorable part of the Team Pro promotion.

“Most definitely when I kicked the old man out of the table. I will never forget. I love the promo… I owned Gus Hansen, what more can you ask for?” said 420 MUNCHIES, clearly still basking in his the glory of his $1,000 win.

“It was a really unique opportunity for any average player to compete against not only one of the best players on the planet, but also a huge poker personality,” Kohan666 said of being on Team Gus. “Beyond a doubt, a very innovative promo.”

“The training match versus Isildur1 was more exciting, having a David versus Goliath feeling,” said drunkenmaster67. “Knowing thousands of players are watching and one mistake could cost $1,000 made that a thrill ride I will never forget.”

“I would imagine that this will be the only time in my life that I will have the great Viktor all in on the turn drawing dead. I just wish it could have been at the nosebleeds,” opined another Team Viktor member, Mackattack19. “Thanks again Full Tilt, I had a blast.”

“Really glad I had the luck to get a place in Team Viktor,” echoed germanJigsaw. “I love the idea of “David vs Goliath” very much, giving players the chance to play versus the best one on one is awesome. And of course it creates a memorable screenshot!”

As one can imagine, given that the entire promotion was a freeroll, many were pleased with Team Pro’s accessibility to the everyman.

“I love this kind of promotions and try to participate if possible,” said Team Gus’ Pitze2000. “It´s cool to get such incredible options while playing poker… especially as a small budget player.”
