Our Double and Triple Chance Tournaments give you extra tournament lives for a single buy-in.
In a Double Chance Tournament you’ll be given one token along with your chips. You can exchange a token for an additional chip stack, equal to the number of starting chips, at any time up to the end of a predetermined level.
Use your token early in the tournament to top up your stack, or hold on to it as insurance in case you go bust.
Triple Chance Tournaments operate in the same manner, but you are given two tokens at the start of the tournament.
When playing Double or Triple Chance Tournaments, each player will have an indicator showing their remaining token(s). To exchange a token for chips, simply click on the ‘Use Token’ button.
If you lose all of your chips and have a token remaining, it will automatically be exchanged for a starting chip stack before the next hand is dealt. The indicator below your name will then change to reflect the fact that a token has been used.
If you reach the end of the token exchange period, any remaining tokens will be automatically exchanged for chips and added to your current chip stack before the next hand begins.
Multi-Entry Double or Triple Chance Tournaments
If a player in a Multi-Entry Double or Triple Chance Tournament has multiple entries that are merged, their unused tokens are also merged. For example, if you have two entries in a Triple Chance Tournament, each with one unused token, then those two entries are merged into a single entry with two unused tokens.
Entry 1: 1,750 chips and 1 unused token
Entry 2: 6,722 chips and 1 unused token
Entry 1: 8,472 chips and 2 unused tokens
If the resulting merged entry has more tokens than the number of tokens available for each player at the start of the tournament (one per player in a Double Chance, and two per player in a Triple Chance), then any additional tokens over and above this amount will be automatically exchanged, and the additional chips will be added to the player’s stack immediately, before the next hand begins.
For example, in a Multi-Entry Triple Chance Tournament, if a player has two entries with two tokens each, and those entries are merged, the resulting merged entry now has four tokens. Therefore, two tokens will be automatically exchanged.
Each token is worth 2,000 chips
Entry 1: 2,000 chips and 2 unused tokens
Entry 2: 2,000 chips and 2 unused tokens
Entry 1: 4,000 chips and 4 unused tokens
Two tokens will be automatically exchanged (2,000 chips each), and the player will continue with:
8,000 chips and 2 unused tokens
