It’s easy to see why mixed poker games are so popular, as they offer a refreshing change of pace. And let you build your poker skills across different formats. If you want to join in the fun, try our 8-Game Mix. It allows you to play the following different poker games:
H - Limit Hold’em
R - Razz
H - No Limit Hold’em
A - Pot Limit Omaha
8-Game Mix is played with six players. The type of game changes every six hands. Or, if it’s a tournament, it changes every level. The first six hands played are Limit 2-7 Triple Draw. Next up is Limit Hold’em, then Limit Omaha Eight or Better (Hi/Lo), and so on according to the list above. Once the final hand of Pot Limit Omaha has been played, the game goes back to Limit 2-7 Triple Draw and the cycle repeats. While playing, you can see the name of the current game at the top of the table window. And you can see how many hands have been played so far.
Most mixed games are limit only. However, our 8-Game Mix includes No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha. This makes it stand out from other mixed games, like HORSE. To help keep the stakes consistent, the blinds and antes decrease during the No Limit and Pot Limit games.
If you’re not used to 8-Game Mix poker games, it might be a good idea to try them for free first. To do this, you can play at our free poker tables. This will let you get to grips with the format before making the jump to real money poker.
To find out more about each of the individual games, take a look at our Poker Games page.
If you’ve got a taste for mixed game variants, we have plenty more available. You can have a go at our popular HORSE mix. Or try our Hold’em/Omaha games. They’re available as both ring games and tournaments. And they offer a refreshing change of pace from regular Texas Hold’em.
